‘Medifoamfit’, the mask pack launched by Genewel

Genewel announced the launch of Medifoamfit, a new lifting mask pack developed using the technology behind Medifoam, South Korea’s best-selling moist wound dressing brand.

The product is set to premiere on GS Home Shopping at 11:50 a.m. on November 29. Medifoamfit is the culmination of eight years of research and development to adapt Medifoam’s wound-care material for cosmetic purposes. The technology received patents in South Korea (2018) and China (2022) and completed safety testing to medical-device standards.

Developed for the expanding slow-aging skincare market, the mask is designed to provide facial lifting support, wrinkle care, and soothing effects. Clinical Trials reported improved lifting benefits after a single application and measured reductions in forehead, eye-area, and nasolabial-fold wrinkles. The product also demonstrated a temporary cooling effect that lowered skin temperature.

The mask pack incorporates a micro-foam structure containing a cream formulation with collagen, peptides, and other active ingredients, which are gradually released into the skin during more than two hours of wear. The material adheres closely to facial contours, minimizing sagging or dripping and helping prevent dryness.

Han Sang-deok, CEO of Genewel, said the company’s dermocosmetic portfolio developed from medical-device technology is gaining recognition globally, citing recent supply agreements with Guerlain and leading Swiss pharmaceutical firms. He added that, following European CPNP certification, Genewel plans to accelerate overseas expansion for Medifoamfit.

The technology was named in the “Super Mask” category of the CosmoTrends report at COSMOPROF North America 2025, the region’s largest beauty trade exhibition, held in July.
